Annandale, only team to register victory on day three

first_imgTHE third playing date of the Milo U-18 Schools Football tournament was outlined by a number of drawn encounters yesterday.In the first game of the afternoon, Charlestown Secondary could not overcome the challenges of the New Central High School. Dante Sookram opened the scoring for the Charlestown side in the 20th minute but New Central’s Garfield Caesar brought the game level in the 37th minute.At the final whistle, there was no goal to separate the two teams.In the second game of the afternoon the result was the same between St John’s College and Uitvlugt. St John’s Anthony Xavier equalised after Uitvlugt’s Junior Redmon had scored in the 16th minute.The only winners of the day were Annandale, who beat Bladen Hall 2-0 thanks to a double from Tiquan Taylor in the 6th minute and Jerome Harrigon in the 45th.Matches continue today at the Ministry of Education ground with another triple-header.Friendship Secondary will face Carmel Secondary from 14:00hrs in the first game, to be followed by Canje Secondary doing battle against South Ruimveldt.
