Khardah murder case Wife held responsible for cheque bounce

first_imgKolkata: The sleuths have found several ambiguities in the version of prime accused Aditi Chakraborty in Khardah murder case.Pratul Chakraborty was allegedly murdered by his former wife Aditi. During interrogation it was revealed that Aditi was an accused in two cases of cheque bouncing. According to the sources, the sleuths suspect Aditi is still playing games with the investigators as several things are still unclear. Though police are sure about her cheque bounce cases, she is trying to divulge facts. Now, police will try to know the details of the cheques from the concerned bank for the sake of investigation. However, Aditi is stating that Pratul used to pressurise her for money. As Aditi has kept changing her statements, the sleuths are not believing her before confirming the facts. Primarily, Aditi had claimed that the murder occurred in heat of the moment. But later, it came out that Pratul’s murder was pre-planned. After murdering Pratul, Aditi changed into the dress she brought with her. Later, she disposed of her garments in a canal but by mistake she left her handkerchief at Pratul’s place. In the interrogation, Aditi also admitted to have disposed of several documents of Pratul in the same canal to hide the chit fund connection and details of money. On Wednesday, Pratul’s elder sister Chandana Chakraborty showed up and claimed Pratul was forced to discontinue his relationship with them by Aditi. As a result, they were not aware of what Pratul was upto. He was deliberately murdered on December 20 inside his rented house at Khardah. A food delivery person, who used to deliver food to Pratul everyday, smelled a rat as his repeated knocks on his door yielded no response.
