BUNDORAN COUNCIL MONEY MUST BE SPENT ON ITS CITIZENS – ELECTION CANDIDATE

first_imgA well-known Fianna Fail member in Bundoran says any council money left in the town must be spent on its people.Fianna Fáil National Executive member Claudia Kennedy is seeking a nomination to run in the 2014 Donegal Electoral Area county council election. She said money that the council has left to spend, before its abolition, must leave a lasting legacy to those who have supported the council, down the years. “As a second level teacher I am very much aware of the necessity of providing a dedicated building/Youth Centre with resources, facilities, and an opportunity for our young people to be provided with a suitable building. The youth are our future, we must provide and support our young people.“The need for a community centre in Bundoran, has also been a long running issue but now is the time to get things sorted before the opportunity passes us by,” she said.“In every town and rural small village I visit around Donegal, there is always a wonderful community centre available for everyone to use for meetings, dance classes, senior citizen groups, youth clubs, etc.“It is quite disappointing and sad we do not have such facilities in Bundoran. Now is the time to direct that funding to such worthy initiatives.” She also said that a clear and identifiable role for the future of the Bundoran Town Council Building must be moved forward.“Every family in the Bundoran area will gain in a positive manner from this initiative,” she said.BUNDORAN COUNCIL MONEY MUST BE SPENT ON ITS CITIZENS – ELECTION CANDIDATE was last modified: January 27th, 2014 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:bundoranClaudia Kennedyfianna faillast_img read more

During these two months, Ace is turning pink for breast cancer awareness as in previous years, and also teal, to represent the addition of ovarian cancer awareness to this year’s campaign. To help raise awareness, Ace Parking teams across the country will participate in Ovarian Cancer Awareness events throughout September. In October, Ace will once again temporarily change many of its well-recognized parking lot signs to pink-colored PARK FOR PINK signage with a custom logo. Team members will wear pink wristbands with teal lettering to celebrate Ace Parking’s pledge. Additionally, the official Ace Parking website will have a custom design to support the cause.During the months of September and October, each time a customer parks with Ace Parking, a portion of parking proceeds will be donated to the fight against ovarian cancer.“PARK FOR PINK was inspired by my own family’s fight against cancer, as well as the struggle of many others in our Ace Parking family,” said Keith B. A miniEurope in India

first_imgA gorgeous ambience with sunlight coming in through colourful windows; light yet tantalizing flavours in the air and a chef passionate about serving healthy and tasty food. What else does a person need to make their monotonous day simply magical? Food is what makes life bearable. We humans cannot survive without it and when it’s good, you yearn for it. This is what will happen if you visit AnnaMaya. Located in Andaz Hotel, Aerocity this place is a must have on the list of every foodie. Also Read – Add new books to your shelfA European food hall inspired by the colours and flavours of India, AnnaMaya’s purpose is to encourage guests to ‘eat mindful – shop artisanal and raise awareness’. And once anyone visits the place, they will believe in their slogan. Even though it’s a European food hall, you will find a hint of Indianness in everything – from a brass glass to a salt sprinkler. As you enter AnnaMaya, the first thing you see is the dessert section – again Indianness – Indians believe that every good things begins with something sweet and this time this belief proves true. With myriad of delectable food, you will be left confused. It is a place where you get the best of both countries because almost each dish has some Indian kick to it. There is ‘buratta cheese, basil, tomato and naan’ which is light yet it leaves a cheesy taste in your mouth; another one of their delightful European dish was ‘turkey burger with grilled pineapple, melted cheese and fried egg’. Also Read – Over 2 hours screen time daily will make your kids impulsiveAnd it’s not all European, the executive chef – Alex Moser has made sure that the guests feel at home when they are eating, so he has included some good old Indian recipes like a very spongy ‘grilled paneer’, ‘murgh makhani with creamy tomato gravy’, ‘kadai paneer with home-made cottage cheese,’ ‘spicy kebab in butter naan’, ‘doi mach-bengali fish curry’ and also ‘butter chicken’. The best part about this place is that they use their own herbs grown organically inside a temperature controlled cabinet and hence every salad you have is the juiciest you have ever tasted. It is not just the food that’s impressive but also the drinks they have. At a very nominal rate, one can have the most refreshing and flavourful drink of all time – one is a ‘peach, lime lavender lemonade’ with a pungent peachy flavor and the other is a beautiful looking ‘watermelon, pink peppercorn, lime drink’ – just a look at them and you will know they taste out of this world. As earlier mentioned, AnnaMaya does not forget its Indianness and has something in their Indian section too – and that is ‘Lassi’ – the flavours range from a ‘coconut dill rose lassi’ to a ‘matcha tea, cacao, chocolate and mint flavoured lassi’.Every visit at AnnaMaya is a surprise because you don’t know what you will get. You won’t get the same dish if you come after some time because their menu changes according to the season. So, go this time and find out which dish they have for you.last_img read more
